Outline of Shuseikan Advanced Research Project

Kagoshima University, under the leadership of its president, established “Shuseikan Advanced Research Project” in February 2024.

This project is a collection of exceptional organizational research initiatives, consisting of the “Advanced Research Centers”—prestigious projects selected and accredited through research IR that leverage the university’s distinctive characteristics and strengths—and the “Advanced Research Projects” that aim to achieve the Centers. The objective is to elevate, develop, and fortify research activities sustainably while returning the results to society.

These are original and pioneering basic research initiatives and outstanding research that lead to the creation of innovations based on research seeds that have received competitive research funding totaling more than 10 million yen during the research period.

The establishment period is one year after the end of the project period of the competitive research funds.

Among these projects, systematic research projects that have received competitive research funding totaling 50 million yen or more during the research period, or outstanding research projects that integrate multiple cutting-edge research initiatives, are classified here.
